Who’s in the cookbook – Part 2 – Wineries, Cideries and Breweries
The sheer number of boutique wineries, craft breweries and cider producers in South Georgian Bay is astounding.
The region’s unique climate and terroir, combined with the talents of artisan wine makers, brewmasters and cider masters has created a booming community that beautifully rounds out the food culture of the area. And it’s a wonderful thing to see the brewers, farmers and chefs all working together to build an even stronger community.
The collaboration between the producers and the farmers in the region is truly unique. Many of the microbreweries are using locally grown hops, and some brewmasters are even integrating ingredients from local farmers to create some pretty innovative flavours.
We could go on an on about how amazing the beer, wine and cider from the Bruce Grey Simcoe is but you should just come experience it for yourself.
